If we count the fact that the top speed of Bugatti Veyron is 253.2 miles per hour (407.5 km/h), a speed limited electronically to prevent tire damage (it can run even faster) we can understand why this spectacular car must consume 40.4 L/100 km (4.82 mpg) when it`s running at top speed and in city driving 24.1 L/100 km.A model drove by superstars like Tom Cruise, couldn`t name itself cheap, rising the Bugatti Veyron at not least of 1 000 000 dollars, a price that measures it`s quality.

Called “Superleggera”, this model is a replica given preventive to those rumours about a possible Ferrari F430 Challenge Stradale.The Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera comes with robotized mechanical e-gear as standard, a sports package including shock absorbers and special suede-covered steering wheel. This task was accomplished by using advanced materials and technologies. The engine hood is made of visible carbon fibre and transparent polycarbonate, a type of material that guarantees lightness and also shows off the magnificent V10. The rear diffuser and underbody covering, the rear-view mirrors, door panels and the central tunnel’s covering are also made of carbon fibre. Lamborghini Alar 777 Exotic Car


To everybody’s surprise, the newest Lamborghini comes from Argentina. ALAR is the name and it has as base the old version of Diablo V12. The official distributor of the Lamborghini brand in Argentina could create his own line of models, using the Italian brand. Apparently an Argentinean by the name of Joan Ferci has somehow acquired exclusive rights to build custom Lamborghinis that retain the Italian marque’s historic name and feature an official badge of the raging bull on the front end.He’s created a pair of models in the past called the Coatl and the Eros GT-1, both based off of the Diablo. The Alar 777 will be the third model produced off of the Diablo platform and debut on March 30th in Buenos Aires. The car will produce over 700 horsepower from the Diablo’s V12 motor and reached a claimed top speed of 223 mph.Lamborghini Alar 777 does not seem to be among the favorites of the specialists… with too much posing and too extreme, it represents the old Lamborghini style, the old school, by all means.Indeed, the car seems to looks like something we would get from Too Fast Too Furious or perhaps Need For Speed Underground, which may seem to the Loyal Lamborghini fans a little less appealing. But thinking at the fact that we are talking about the Diablo V12 motor, we can still state that this is still a pretty cool car after all…

The Lightening GT Super Car


A new super car is born.The Lightning GT,developed by Lightning Car Company, is a 100% electric car. The engine is electric, of course, and generates 700 BHP. The top speed for this super car is more than 200 kmh. For an electric engine this car is very powerfull. The battery system, designed by NanoSafe, is the heart of the power. it’s new, it’s great, and it’s spelled “POWER”. The battery recharges very fast, for at least 250 miles only 10 minutes of recharging would be needed. The Lightning GT has another cool feature. Every time the car brakes or slows down, the kinetic energy is transformed into heat and forwarded to the battery as electricity. It self regenerates. For the bodywork, the UK designers used Carbon fibre,aluminium and Kevlar technology.The interior is a luxury one. It has incorporated Satellite navigation, an Ipod interface and a virtual engine sound. Of course , it has only two seats, so it’s tagged as a sport car. I don’t know … the bodykit is simillar somehow with the Dodge Viper. Especially the front of the car. Anyway, it’s truly a super car. And this time it’s not made by the germans. The british company “wins terrain” in the super car battlefield.Though the engine is powerfull, a small glitch is this : it accelerates rather slow. From 0 to 60 kmh in almost 4 seconds. But we can overpass that. The other features of the engine saves it’s reputation : total weather proofing,several levels of redundancy and a total energy transfer. These make it a super engine. The price for this super car is not yet set, because the Lightning GT will be launched on the market just before the end of 2008. Until then, let’s hope the UK will bring on the market a few more sport cars .

Dodge Viper SRT-10


The Viper SRT-10 was produced in 2005 and shown at Detroit Auto Show as a 2006 version.The Dodge Viper SRT_10 is similar withViper GTS,but is more powerful and it has a high speed performance.The super cars uses a 8,3 L V10 engine making 510 horsepower,it`s a great powerful roadster with two doors and two seats.At 510 horsepower the super car it has a top speed of 200+ mph and reach in 3.8 seconds 60 mph,also the car uses a six speed manual transmission.Dodge Viper super cars are the most powerful cars produced by Dodge,the production of this cars began in 1992 at New Mack Assembly.

Alstom, the French energy and transport infrastructure provider, expressed its confidence in the competition to build China's planned US$12 billion, high-speed Beijing-Shanghai railway.
We could be the preferred partner for the Chinese Government, with our advanced TGV technology and over 30 years' operation experience," said Alstom Chairman and CEO Patrick Kron during his visit to Beijing this week.
The company is capable of providing trains carrying 1,000 passengers with a speed of 350 kilometres per hour, Kron said.
And we are able to offer the best technology and solutions according to the project's demands, when the bidding is launched," he said.
Meanwhile, the company's rich experience of doing business in China and its willingness to transfer the technology and part of manufacturing to the country will help sharpen its competitive edge in the battle, he added.
New AGV high-speed cars developed by Alstom The world's eighth high-speed railway, Korea Train eXpress (KTX), which chose Alstom's TGV technology, began official operations yesterday. The inauguration of the KTX further demonstrates the company's advanced technology and excellent project management, Kron said.
However, he said he would not like to be too certain about his company's chances in the competition until the tender is launched, he added.
Earlier this year, China reportedly decided to use the French company's TGV technology in building the 1,300-kilometre-long high-speed railway.
But both the company and China's Ministry of Railway denied the report.
The ministry said any decision will be made through a fair and open international bidding process.
The call for tenders is expected to take place in the second half of the year.
Currently, Alstom and companies from Germany, headed by Siemens, and Japan, headed by Mitsubishi Heavy Industry, are striving to stake their claims for contracts in the project.
"Alstom has its edges, and so do the other two groups," said Sa Shuli, a railway expert from the Beijing Jiaotong University.
According to him, Germany's ICE technology is stronger in terms of manufacturing. While, Japan's Shinkansen line is advantageous in management and operation.
"A long period of time is still needed for the Chinese Government to decide which technology will be used in this project," Sa said.
He added that the country still has not made a decision between the use of wheel-track technology or maglev technology, though many railway experts prefer the former.
"The Beijing-Shanghai railway project is of great importance for our company, and we are well-prepared for the strong competition," Kron said.
But, it is not the only project for the company, he added.
It is also preparing competitive bids for four metro railway lines in Beijing and five or six lines in Shanghai.

The Ford Fusion Hydrogen 999 Raced to a record 207.297 mph on 15-aug-2007

Ford's surpassed the double-century mark, and joined the Bonneville 200-mph club, in its Hydrogen 999 fuel-cell-powered Ford Fusion. It's an industry first, considering other automakers' hydrogen fuel-cell projects have eschewed speed accrual for the message of environmental correctness. Why not do both, Ford says with the 999 project, which we're just fine with us old salts. The car was worked up with The Ohio State University Center for Automotive Research, Ballard Power Systems and Roush Racing, and was piloted by Bonneville vet Rick Byrnes, who's also a retired powertrain engineer with the blue oval bunch.
